Thought I would start back with this a bit.....

well...here we go. Thought perhaps I would start this up again....if I can stay with it...well that's another story.
Just back from a week up North visit with the family and friends....due to a wedding and a baptism I attended 2 masses in 1 weekend. I think I'm done now for the year...just sayin.

Unfortunately, I also realized how old my parents are getting. I suppose when you only see them a few times a year it is more pronounced when you actually get some face time. It's a little sad to see how set in their ways they are...how they have such a routine. The good thing is, they do go out quite a bit...dinners with friends, concerts, mom has her little "ladies who lunch at the country club" group...but other times.....it's like they just sit there.
I was at one of my sisters on Sunday, and a batch of bad thunderstorms came through. I drove back to my parents after that, and there they were....1 light on...no TV, no air. I of course inquired as to why? and my mother informed me there was thunder and lightening so she unplugged everything. Seriously?
Speaking to a few friends, they informed me some of their parents do the same thing...so maybe it's generational?
I guess I can only hope for the good health both my parents experience at the age of 75.....time will tell.
